Double if allowed; If not, hit. |
The most popular of all the
casino games today is blackjack. Everyone feels like they have mastered a
system, and in turn have eliminated the house’s edge. Unless you are
counting cards, which is impossible in online casinos and equally as tough
in person, the house always has the edge. The key to the game is to play a
system that is based on the odds of winning each scenario, by doing that you
can reduce the house edge to almost none. Everyone knows what to do when
they have 9 or 19 but it’s the hands in between that are the trouble ones.
The beginner player hits on 2-15 and stands on everything else. That system
will never produce consistent results. Almost as important as your cards is
the one the dealer is showing. When the dealer is showing an Ace, face, or
nine you have to hit much more then you would otherwise. However while it
is true that you have to assume the dealer has a 10 underneath don’t get
carried away with that theory. If the dealer is showing a 7 don’t be afraid
to stand on a questionable hand. Although the most likely card he has is a
10 there is still a better then 50% chance he has worst then that, and in
turn be in position to bust. Below I have enclosed a chart that will give a
general outline of what to do in particular situations. There is however
much more to the game of blackjack then just standard hit or stand hands.
This is where the real money can be made. People at the table are often too
afraid to split and double down, and they are content to just stand or hit.
This system drastically reduces the amount that you can make at any given
session. When the dealer shows a 5 or 6 you have to be willing to double
down almost anything under 12. The percentages say that the dealer will
bust, why not get double your bet in on this hand? It is foolish not to
attempt to put as much money in as possible when the dealer has a 6. On the
other side there is the art of splitting pairs. Also Mucho Casino gives you
the freedom to split any two face cards. That advantage, that is not
offered many places, allows the player to once again get more money on a
hand when they have the best hands. If you were guaranteed to start the
next two hands with a 10 wouldn’t you want to? That’s what splitting two
face cards does for you. Yes you are splitting up a likely winning hand but
if the dealer is showing a 7 or less it is really worth it. The moral of
this strategy is that you want to get as much money in as possible when
either you have the best hand, or the dealer has a bad one. If you play an
intelligent standard blackjack strategy, plus double down and split when it
is appropriate, you can consistently find yourself winning at Mucho Casino.
